What's included in the Starter Website?

Up to 5 pages, designed and built by our Chester team. Hosting, an SSL certificate, daily backups and updates. Your own domain, registered in your name. Your Google Business Profile set up properly, basic local SEO, a contact form and a WhatsApp button. We write the words from a short call with you, and you get 30 minutes of changes every month. It's £49.99/month with nothing to pay upfront, and we aim to have it live within 14 days of the kick-off call. Extra pages, online shops, booking systems and logos are quoted separately.

Why is there a 12-month minimum on the Starter Website?

Because we build your site before you've paid for it. There's no upfront fee, so the first 12 months cover the design and build. After that it runs month to month and you can leave with one month's notice. If you'd rather not commit to 12 months, you can buy the same site outright for £995.

Who owns the website?

Accepted Answer

Your domain is always registered in your name. On the monthly plan the site becomes yours after 24 months, or you can buy it out at any time for £495. If you buy the site outright for £995, it's yours from day one.

How are bigger projects priced?

Accepted Answer

Business websites start at £2,500 for up to 15 pages with a custom design. Online shops and custom builds start at £3,500. We have a free call, agree what you need, then send a fixed quote. You know the full price before any work starts.

Do I need to add VAT?

Accepted Answer

No. Hand On Web is not VAT-registered, so there's no VAT to add. The price you see is the price you pay.

How does the 30-day money-back guarantee work?

There are two versions. For a website: Not happy within 30 days of your site going live? We refund everything you have paid and take the site down. For SEO, AI and our other services: Not happy in the first 30 days? We refund what you have paid. Are there any setup fees?

Only on two services. The AI receptionist and the AI chatbot each have a one-off £149 setup. SEO has no setup fee, and the Starter Website has nothing to pay upfront.

How do I pay?

By card or bank transfer. Monthly plans are paid each month. For one-off projects, the payment terms are set out in your fixed quote.

What are the terms for SEO?

Accepted Answer

3-month minimum, then month to month with 30 days’ notice. There's no setup fee. As a general guide, SEO changes can take 4 to 8 weeks to show and 3 to 6 months to build up. We don't promise rankings.

Question 10

Can I cancel the AI services?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The AI receptionist, AI chatbot, missed-call text-back and Google Business Profile care are all month to month. You can cancel with 30 days’ notice. We aim to have the AI receptionist live within 48 hours, and a chatbot in about 7 days.

What if I go over my AI receptionist minutes?

Extra minutes are 25p each on every plan. If you need more minutes or the extra features, you can move up a plan.
