Why Security-First Automation?
Our founder started trading as Hand On Web in 2021, and the business was incorporated as Hand On Web Ltd in July 2023. It started with web development and e-commerce work, helping UK businesses establish their online presence. As we worked with more clients, we noticed a common challenge: businesses were drowning in repetitive tasks and missing opportunities due to slow response times.
When we began exploring AI automation, we saw incredible potential—but also significant risks. Many AI solutions we encountered were black boxes with unclear data handling, no audit trails, and failure modes that could damage customer relationships.
We decided to take a different approach. Every automation we build starts with security. We design with least privilege, implement comprehensive logging, and ensure humans stay in control of important decisions.
Today, we build voice and chat assistants and workflow automation, such as the ECET 2026 event assistant, with security and a human hand-off designed in from the start.
