How to Use This Sitemap Generator

1. Add your URLs. Enter the URLs you want to include in your sitemap. Use the "Bulk Add URLs" feature to paste multiple URLs at once — one per line.
2. Set priority and frequency. For each URL, set the priority (0.0-1.0) to indicate its relative importance, and the change frequency to tell search engines how often the page is updated.
3. Add last modified dates (optional). If you know when a page was last updated, add the date to help search engines understand your content freshness.
4. Copy or download. Use the live preview on the right to review your sitemap in real time. When you're happy, click Copy or Download and upload the file to your website's root directory.
5. Submit to search engines. Add your sitemap URL to your robots.txt file and submit it to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools for faster indexing.

Sitemap Best Practices

To get the most out of your sitemap, follow these best practices:

• Keep it updated. Regenerate your sitemap whenever you add, remove, or significantly update pages. Many CMS platforms do this automatically.
• Use consistent URLs. Make sure the URLs in your sitemap match your canonical URLs exactly — including trailing slashes and www/non-www preferences.
• Reference it in robots.txt. Add a Sitemap directive to your robots.txt file pointing to your sitemap URL.
• Submit to search engines. Manually submit your sitemap to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools after uploading it.
• Use HTTPS URLs. If your site uses HTTPS (which it should), make sure all sitemap URLs use HTTPS as well.
